Derma E Hydrating Day and Night Cream
One of the most important components of any company or business is their brand. What do they convey about what they’re selling? What do the colors bring out? What appeals to their target audience? These are the things Derma E took into consideration when launching their new product packaging reveal for their entire skin care products collection. Today I have the opportunity to share with you their Hydrating Day Cream in their old packaging and their Hydrating Night Cream in their new packaging.

Derma E is all about ethical beauty, health & wellness, and environmental sustainability. Their products are 100% vegan, cruelty-free, and without parabens, sodium lauryl sulfates, petrolatum, mineral oil, artificial colors, gluten, soy or GMOs. Additionally, purchases support global communities and the environment.
Their brand reveal has pretty packaging. I absolutely love it. The old one was generic and didn’t seem to be on brand. It looked like something you could find at any pharmacy, whereas with the new packaging I can picture it next to luxury and inexpensive items alike.
Derma E’s Hydrating Day Cream smells nice in the bottle. However, when it’s applied and settles on the skin the scent isn’t exactly the same. It reminds me of bar soap. Good thing it doesn’t last very long, as the smell does dissipate.
When applying the day cream it’s somewhat lathery. It reminds me of whipped frosting or ointment. You have to make sure to evenly spread it on your skin and use in moderation. It didn’t leave my skin looking radiant as I expected but it did provide hydration like it claims. Throughout the day my skin felt good, not oily or dry, and was consistent throughout use.
I found the night crème to be identical to the day cream except for its scent. The night cream has a mild scent when you smell the bottle, but when you apply it on the skin, it becomes quite strong. Too much for my liking, yet doesn’t last more than 5 minutes. Like the day cream it does offer the benefit of hydration without any side effects such as oiliness and breakouts.
Both the day cream and night crème are enriched with anti-aging antioxidants, Green Tea, Vitamins C, Vitamin E, and soothing Aloe. The formula helps defend skin from free radicals and the effects of the environment on the skin.
At first I didn’t love either cream. The scent was nice but then became obtrusive. Once I got used to the sticky and heavy texture however, which only lasts for 5 minutes, I learned to appreciate them and the benefits. The main thing I noticed in using these Derma E creams is I began to see my skin tone even out and my skin staying hydrated without feeling greasy or oily. A must. Also, it went really well as a primer for foundation/makeup. I promise once you allow the cream to settle it will feel like you having nothing on.
You can buy these products and more on Derma E’s website. You can also purchase them at Ulta, Walgreens, Birchbox, Whole Foods, Walmart, the Vitamin Shoppe, and CVS. Be sure to keep up with Derma E on their Instagram or Facebook.
