Blogger Collaboration: Pointed Shoe with Cao Bella and Perfumed Red Shoes

By  |

Another Blogger Collaboration! Woo hoo! This time around I’m working with two other bloggers instead of one. We have Toni Pino of Perfumed Red Shoes hailing from the Philippines and Jenny Cao-Wu of Cao Bella, a resident of Hawaii.

I love both of their individual styles. Toni is very relaxed chic and budget friendly whereas Jenny is professional chic. I appreciate both of them working with me to create three great looks on ways we can wear pointed shoes.

Check out Toni’s pointy shoe post here and Jenny’s here.

Believe it or not, I opted on a d’orsay black and white kitten heel by Ellen Tracy. My sister brought these home from work one day when her co-workers gave them away. Since they were my size and most of my shoes had been stolen (more on this another time), my sister was sweet to help out in the process of building my collection back up.

Now I’m not the kitten heel type, but I thought sure why not. It was a kind gesture and I always figure something out. I named them my Michelle Obama shoes. Haha. I decided they would be good for church or meetings. But truth be told, it doesn’t matter the occasion (conservative or not) I don’t like to skimp on my heel height.

I learned to appreciate them because in being so tall I’m able to wear them with certain jeans without feeling like my pants are too high (high water) on me.

Hence, I thought them perfect for this pointed shoe post. I think classic pointy shoes like these Boutique 9 pumps I wore here and here are great but low heel pointed shoes are that much better when worn with super long trousers or jeans. The front of the shoe peeks out perfectly, something that wouldn’t look as good had it been a higher or round toe style.

Do you feel the kitten heel is a shoe you can work into your wardrobe? Comment below! I’d love to know.

Enjoy and God bless!

P.S. – Peep how I pretended to be cold in one of my photos. Haha! Not to rub it in (because I really do miss layering) but Hawaii weather has been nothing short of amazing! I pretend it’s Autumn on days with the slightest hint of a “chill”. Don’t judge me.

A big thank you to the awesome team of creatives who helped make this post possible:

I agree! Mine are a bit on the pointier side, but nothing beats a classic pointed toe pump. Thanks for stopping shmonica!
